** SPOILER ALERT ** How many times can I say it I LOVE THIS SERIES, it's an extension to one of my favorite series of all time being the Elemental Mysteries series, I have then seriously enjoyed the Elemental World books and now we have what we all wanted (and you know we all desperately wanted more Ben and Tenzin) in the Elemental Legacy series.
Benjamin Vecchio what a wonderful young man you have grown into (let's face it we knew he would) and Tenzin is still as fabulous, as ever! There has always been a special bond between these two, my favorite duo from the books and it's been lovely to see their bond develop and change as Ben has got older.
It has been amazing to learn more about the enigma that is Tenzin and a beautiful journey watching Ben grow from a child in this immersive world of elemental vampires.
I am so happy that Ben has decided to join the family business and that he and Tenzin will team up to achieve this, which can only mean one thing: More Benzin must be on the cards - Whoop Whoop!
I cannot wait to find out if Ben will choose to become a vampire and who he will choose to sire him, he would make an amazing Fire Vampire like Gio but then he could be so powerful if Beatrice sired him given how she was sired.
Book Description:
All Ben Vecchio wanted was a quiet summer before his last semester of university. Was that too much to ask?
All Tenzin wanted was a cache of priceless medieval coins that had been missing for several hundred years.
And some company.
Phrases like “never again” don’t mean much when you’ve been a vampire for several thousand years. And promises made in the heat of anger don’t outweigh the lure of gold. Ben Vecchio thought he knew everything there was to know about the immortals of Italy. But when Tenzin tempts him into another adventure finding a cache of rare gold coins missing since the nineteenth century, he’ll discover that familiar places can hold the most delicious secrets. And possibly, the key to his future.
Ben and Tenzin are back in an all new novella in the Elemental Legacy series.

Bad Ops (Agent Juliet Box Set) By E. M. Smith
I really enjoyed this, it was fast paced, action packed, adrenaline filled, gritty, full of bravado, wise cracks and guns! I loved every damn second of it and couldn't stop turning the pages.
The story was awesome and well planned out, the characters were great, you got to know them quickly and I was quickly swept up in the book.
I am moving on to the Bone Squad book which ties up with the Agent Juliet books and I will certainly be looking out for more books by E M Smith cos I like this asshat's style, A'ight!
Description:
BAD OPS is a specially priced box set of all 5 Agent Juliet stories.
Follow self-destructive screw-up and beginner black ops agent Jamie Kendrick from his disastrous first op to his grisly showdown with death.
BAD DECISIONS
Jamie Kendrick is known for his colossally bad decisions--jacking a squad car and turning it over in a ditch, for example. But he's going to show everyone. With some help from his brother--and a court-ordered ankle monitor--Jamie is going to get sober, join the army, and shake his white trash reputation. He's actually doing a decent job until someone frames him for the gruesome murders of his brother's family.
No one believes that Jamie is innocent. No one but a mysterious blonde with a gun. She gives Jamie a choice: spend the rest of his life in prison or help her take down the man who killed his brother and set him up.
BAD INFLUENCES
Juliet's back and the pressure's on.
Five months after almost dying on his first mission with NOC-Unit, Jamie Kendrick is trying to adapt to the high-stress world of black ops, navigate the politics of workplace relationships, and watch out for his nieces.
BAD ENVIRONMENT
A deep black op in the heart of Afghanistan brings Bravo face-to-face with his past...
A strange phone call from one of his nieces sends Jamie off the rails...
And someone at NOC-Unit sends Jamie and Bravo on a mission they aren't meant to come back from.
BAD REPUTATION
Someone in NOC-Unit betrayed Jamie and Bravo. Now they're trapped in a sweatbox in the South American jungle.
While Jamie and Bravo fight to survive, the past unfolds through the eyes of the mysterious Mina. Who is she and how does she factor into the NOC-Unit boys' fate?
BAD ENDING
People always said if he didn't straighten up, he would come to a bad end...
Jamie doesn't know how he's going to rescue his nieces from NOC-Unit without getting killed. He doesn't know where he'll hide the girls if, by some miracle, he does rescue them. All he knows is that things are fixing to get bad.
A roller coaster ride of gunfights, kidnapping, grand theft auto, torture, and death--the final Agent Juliet story pushes Jamie to an edge he can never come back from.

The Scarlet Deep (Elemental World, Book 3) by Elizabeth Hunter
Patrick Murphy was a bare knuckle boxer from a traveller family in his mortal life, in his immortal life he's a smooth talking scoundrel, but has depth, kindness, morals and a soul searing passion for one female, Anne O'Dea.
I love Anne, but then I was bound too because she is one of the daughters of the elusive character Tywyll, and she is the perfect match for our playboy leader of Dublin, Murphy.
This book follows on from the other's in the Elemental World series tracking the Elixer storyline. The world building is, as with the other books, immersive. Elizabeth writes character's that you fall in love with or, in the case of the villains, grow to despise with a passion.
Throughout the Elemental Mysteries Series and the Elemental World Series there has not been one book that has not blown my socks off (I have re-read the Elemental Mysteries 3 times) and Scarlet Deep has to be one of my faves. If you have not yet treated yourself to a visit to any of Elizabeth Hunter's books, please do so - I love her worlds!
Loved seeing some of the old faces, and the way Elizabeth cleverly links the books through the entire story arc is amazing.
More please :-)
Book Description:
On the waves of the North Atlantic, a poison spreads, sapping the life from humans and striking madness into immortals.
Patrick Murphy, the immortal leader of Dublin, has been trying to stem the tide of Elixir washing into his territory, but nothing seems to stop the vampire drug. While others in the immortal world work to cure the creeping insanity that Elixir threatens, Murphy has been invited to London to join a summit of leaders hoping to discover who is shipping the drug. If Murphy and his allies can cut off the supply, they might be able to halt the spread long enough for a treatment to be found for the humans and vampires infected.
Anne O’Dea, Murphy’s former lover, retreated from public life over one hundred years ago to help immortals in need… and to heal her own broken heart. Though powerful connections keep her insulated from the violence of vampire politics, even Anne is starting to feel the effects of Elixir on her isolated world. The human blood supply has been tainted, and with Anne’s unique needs, even those closest to her might be in danger. Not just from infection, but Anne’s escalating bloodlust.
When Anne and Murphy are both called to London, they’re forced to confront a connection as immortal as they are. As they search for a traitor among allies, they must also come to terms with their past. Behind the safe facade of politics, old hungers still burn, even as an ancient power threatens the fate of the Elemental World.

Her Sinful Angel (Her Angel, Book 8) by Felicity Heaton
There has been a certain character that has intrigued me since he first appeared in this series - The Devil. He is obviously the Devil and all of the things that you associate with his name go with him, but we have often got glimpses of a side of him that you would never expect, especially since the arrival of his Grandson, Dante.
His name is Lucifer, and my word what a complex character he is, dare I say I am as taken with him as I was with Asmodeus, anyone would think I like a bad boy and to clarify: I am a sucker for them! Despite the fact that he has carried out some horrific things in this series there has always been an undercurrent of, more with the Devil, Felicity has had this character on a slow burn for most of this series, slightly seasoning him with each book and finally serving us with this delicious main course of mouth watering, messed up Mancandy. I liked Nina a lot, I think they balance each other perfectly and if she hadn't been messed up too she never would have picked up on the signals and given Lucifer the chance he deserved. And yes the Devil deserved a chance.
I love it when there are large sections of Felicity's stories set in Hell because there are no boundaries of reality to conform to and if anyone can conjure up a fictional location and make you feel like you are there and it's all totally normal, it's Felicity. Fight scenes are an expectation from her books and the Devil was sure to fulfil that for me and like I say, without the boundaries of reality they are pretty damn epic.
I am so pleased that we had a book focused on the Devil's story, it felt wrong to move on to the next arc of the storyline (Angels of the Apocalypse) without his story. The momentum for Angels of the Apocalypse has been building in the Her Angel series and I cannot wait for it.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Description:
Cast out of Heaven and now the king of Hell, Lucifer is a powerful fallen angel warrior with a heart as cold as ice and soul as black as the bottomless pit. For millennia, he has ruled his realm with an iron fist as he plots the demise of his ancient enemies. When one of those enemies dumps an unconscious mortal female in the courtyard of his fortress and leaves her there, Lucifer finds himself entranced by the beguiling beauty and tempted beyond all reason. But is the enchanting Nina an innocent pawn in the eternal game or part of a plot against him?

Hell Bent (Redneck Apocalypse, Book 2) by eden Hudson
This review may not make much sense because once again my brain feels as though it has spun on its axis, I don't quite know how she does it but this author seems to juggle everything round in your brain in a way that wakes it all up and makes you think. It's like brain fertiliser.
The characters crawl into you, you absorb them, you can feel them, in fact I know I will be contemplating them for days.
The story is cleverly told, I am still the loving the flow of these books, you don't have time to stop or relax but once you are in the story then you don't want to stop anyway. It's fast paced, it's engaging, it's dark, it's emotional but it has hope and it forces you to keep reading. Your heart races your brain is firing and then ... it ends, a deliciously cruel ending that has left me in a Redneck Apocalypse frenzy with nowhere to get my next fix!
Hell I enjoyed that ride, I want more!
Book Description:
Finally free of his sadistic captor, the holy champion is now trapped in a much darker hell—his own mind.
His only hope is a vampire he can't even remember.
She loves him, but can she save him?
Hell Bent is the second book in the Redneck Apocalypse series.

Shannon in the Lions Den (A Redneck Apocalypse Prequel) by eden Hudson
Well, we all know how much I LOVED Halo Bound and now having read this shorter prequel which gives you a much deeper insight into the parents of Tough and Colt. I have to say, I love me some Redneck Apocalypse! It's almost addictive, and so good which means it's probably terribly bad for you and I just can't get enough!
Being inside Shannon's head is an emotional ride, she feels like she could literally burst from being full of emotions, all bubbling just under the surface! The paranoia is written well, the desperation to loose herself from the world by seeking out intimacy with anyone regardless of consequences felt painful, my heart hurt to feel her slowly self destructing. But when she is with Danny (and if they manage not to argue) he balances her, calms her, they are meant to be, a beautiful but unlikely coupling of a Preacher's son and hell raising Rock Star, it won't be any easy relationship but it will be worth the struggles.
And Danny, such a passionate but leashed man. A servant of God but MADE for Shannon, he must be, they are just so perfectly balanced in a fucked up kinda way, its not a glaringly obvious pairing by any stretch, and due to their history they both hold some guilt and hate towards each other but its not the strongest emotion between them by any stretch.
We get to know more about Tiffany here too, I really started to feel Tiffany's character towards the end of Halo Bound, I liked her a lot and I think what I have learned about her here will shed a bit more light on the aspects of her relationship with one of our Whitney boys, Colt.
Hell Bent, Book 2 is next on the TBR list, I cannot wait!
Book Description:
You got to pay to play...
At just twenty-two years old, Shannon Colter has everything she's ever wanted. She's an international rock star, her guitar playing is better than it's ever been, and she never has to worry about going hungry again.
But behind the scenes, Shannon's world is falling apart. Her bandmates hate her, the music she used to love is driving her insane, the only escape she can find from the noise is sex, and the messiest breakup of her pre-rock-star life, Danny Whitney, just blew into town.
To top it all off, the deal Shannon made with the devil just came due. Now the forces of Hell have been unleashed against her with one objective: Destroy.
Hell wants her, but he wants her more...
Danny Whitney is the quintessential good boy. He reads his Bible and prays. He works hard and gets good grades. He's just five weeks and one senior thesis from graduating seminary at the top of his class.
But there was always something about Shannon that drove Danny a little bit crazy. Something that made him want to sacrifice everything good, just for her. Even now, five years after she wrecked his heart, he would do anything to keep her safe.
Anything.

Charles (Darkness Series, Book 8) by K F Breene
It's the end of the series Bro!
Charles has been with us since the very beginning of this series and has always been my fave! Now having read his book I have to to say I think I love him all the more!
I adore Ann and have loved the dynamic of their relationship since she first arrived in the books, we all knew they should be together and when we found out that Ann and Tim had hooked up in a previous book I was heartbroken for Charles and Ann because they are made for each other.
They have that fantastic balance of friendship and love, the attraction has always been glaringly obvious but a certain someone just needed to realise it was more than just lust. The sarcasm and banter between these two and the other characters literally has you laughing out loud.
You can always expect toe curling love scenes from this series and Charles didn't disappoint (in fact I don't think Charles is capable of causing disappointment) And of course The Watch get to kick some bad guy ass which is always entertaining.
I really have had fun with this series and am so sad to see it end, but it's left me with a warm fuzzy feeling, I certainly wouldn't have felt this content if it had ended without a Charles book.
I do wonder if there is room for a few stories from K. F. Breene from the shifter camp, that could be fun to explore!
Book Description:
Charles is a guy that likes to play the field. He's highly sought after in the Mansion, both for his prowess, and his position. He's content to stay the playboy for life, too, steeped in the culture in which he was raised.
That is, until he finds himself on a mission with Ann, trying to figure out why shifters are mysteriously going missing. Suddenly things that were so clear cut, get muddled.
When Ann succumbs to the danger that is plaguing her kind, all bets are off.

Damnation Marked (The Descent Series Book 4) by S M Reine
Elise does have a heart, I knew she did! This book has not only been action packed but gritty and raw with emotions.
The last third of the book was so addictive that I couldn't put it down, my heart sped from chapter to chapter needing to know what happens next.
I love the past flashbacks it really gives you perspective on both Elise and James personalities and the dynamic of their bond. A significant moment for me was captured with just two words,
Still?
Always!
And then the end, well! Book 5 is calling to me like He calls to Elise!
I feel compelled to read the next books to find out what James did that Elise doesn't know and how did that ending come about? me thinks old Yatam was a clever old bean and he may also be my favourite male character in the books so far.
Easily the best of the series so far, and I really enjoyed the first three.
Book Description:
There's something in the earth deep below Elise Kavanagh's territory. A shadow is falling upon local demons to devour their flesh and harvest their souls. And it's coming for Elise next.
The Union has an easy way out. They want to send Elise into hiding again with her former partner, James Faulkner. All she has to do is surrender the territory and trust that they can protect the ethereal ruins, the dark gate, and the city she's come to know as home.
Greater powers have other plans for Elise and her fabled power as Godslayer--plans that mean surrendering her life and blood to the most powerful demon alive. But if she descends, there's no turning back. Once she gazes into the abyss, it will gaze back into her... and Elise will be damned forever.

The Descent Series, Volume 1 (Books 1 to 3) by S M Reine
Sorry what was that Demon Hunters? Godslayers? witches? kick ass fights? and
awesome story lines? Yep, that sounds good. Gorgeous strong men too did you say? Well then yeah, I'll have a read.
*rapidly reads books 1-3* and now I have to say:
My name is Lou, and I am a Descent Series addict. I am totally hooked.
Straight on to book four for me. My only gripe so far would be about book 3, it just did not have enough James in it for my liking, but the story line was still gripping enough to keep me reading without my favourite male witch.
I do love myself a kick ass female lead and even if she isn't immediately likeable, Elise still fits the bill and lets be honest, if you had her life you wouldn't be the warmest person either. Although I do wish the whole Anthony situation was better, feel a bit sorry for the dude.
Description:
This is a collection of the first three titles in The Descent Series, which are gritty urban fantasy books about an exorcist, a witch, and their battles against the forces of Heaven and Hell. (Approx. 200,000 words total.)
Books included:
1. Death's Hand
2. The Darkest Gate
3. Dark Union
DEATH'S HAND
Elise Kavanagh doesn't want to hunt demons anymore. It's been five years since she killed her last enemy, and life has been quiet since then. She went to college. Got a job, and then lost it. Made a friend or two. Lived a normal life. Now her former partner, a powerful witch named James Faulkner, wants Elise to fight one more time. The daughter of a coven member has been possessed, and Elise is the only exorcist nearby.
Becoming a hero again would mean risking discovery by old enemies. But digging into the case reveals that it might already be too late--bodies are disappearing, demons slither through the night, and the cogs of apocalypse are beginning to turn. Some enemies aren't willing to let the secrets of the past stay dead...
THE DARKEST GATE
When Elise Kavanagh retired from demon hunting, she swore it would be permanent. But an attack from a powerful necromancer forced her back into the business, and now she's trying to balance her normal boyfriend and normal job with everything supernatural.
Mr. Black is a demon hunter gone rogue. He's enslaving angels and stealing ethereal artifacts in pursuit of forbidden immortality, and an old grudge drives him to make his final stand in Elise's territory. Destroying her life and killing her friends isn't the goal, but it's a definite perk.
A demonic overlord offers to join against Mr. Black and protect Elise's loved ones. All she needs to do is ally with the demons she's sworn to kill, at the cost of her morals--and maybe her immortal soul. But once she crosses that line, there's no turning back.
Nothing is sacred when Heaven and Hell collide on Earth...
DARK UNION
Every fifty years, the most powerful ethereal and infernal beings convene on Earth to resolve conflicts with mediation by kopides--humans born to police relations between Heaven and Hell. They're meeting in Elise Kavanagh's territory this year, and she used to be the greatest kopis in the world. But she's not invited.
An old friend, Lucas McIntyre, asks her to attend the summit in his place. But when she arrives, she discovers that a human faction called The Union has taken charge of the summit, and they're not playing nice. Worse yet, someone has killed a prominent Union member... and now they're demanding blood.

awesome story lines?

Tempted by Darkness (Alliance Trilogy, Book 1) by Mary Whitten
I am so happy that Mary Whitten has bought out another series! I loved the Emily Sullivan series and had high hopes for this one, let me tell you I was not disappointed. I have stormed through this book because I couldn't put it down, very little sleep was had because I was far too engrossed to put my kindle down!
I adore Harper - she's a takes no shit, don't need help, can handle herself, kick ass, half turned vamp who refuses to drink human blood is hell bent on revenge on the vampire that killed her family and turned her. Then we meet the delectable Theo, quick pass me a fan just thinking about him gets me hot under the collar, he is one seriously hot alpha werewolf (need I say more?). These two are perfect for each other, but (and there is always a but) he hates vamps and she is sure she couldn't have a relationship in her line of work. Hmm Harper's work, don't get me started on the people Harper works for, **insert extremely rude words here**.
There is humour and sarcasm in spades in this book, the storyline is well thought out and you feel vested in the characters and find yourself routing for them. The fight scenes are immense and the love scenes, well they'll certainly get your pulse racing.
Book 2 asap please Mary, I don't think I can wait long to see how Cat gets on with recent changes.
And the uber good news is that it is only 99p on Amazon (a total bargain for this much fun) buy it HERE, go on you know you want too!
Book Description:
Dangerous and deadly with a side of crazy.
My name is Harper. My job sucks … literally. I hunt evil, red-eyed vampires for a living. My employer is a group called the Alliance; a secret organization that pays my bills and my taxes. What more could a girl ask for?
Everything in life was going just fine until the Alliance decided to switch the enemy. My newest assignment is to execute a werewolf. That was their first mistake. You see, there's a reason I hunt vamps. I have a score to settle with the entire race. They took something from me and turned me into a monster. Once a vampire taste the first drop of human blood, they go insane and kill any human they meet. I've been a vampire for almost sixteen years and still have yet to take a human's life, or taste their blood for that matter. The Alliance has informed me that if I don’t take out the werewolf I will become their next target. And that was their second mistake.
Theo:
I should hate her. I should want to rip her undead heart from her body. Yet for some reason my instincts are telling me not to. She says she was here to save us, but she works for the enemy. I’m sure trusting her will be the death of me, but I have to try. She’s different than the rest of the evil monsters that took my one true love from me years ago. Together we will destroy the enemy. And if she does betray me, I'll kill her.
. This book is a fast paced, action driven, do or die love story. Readers 18+ due to graphic violence, language, and sexual conduct
